Very Low Tide Today!.
For us this means ‘urban hiking’ or ‘Stroll’!
Have you ever beach hiked from Edmonds to Richmond Beach?
Well now you can via the waterfront!.
The tide is the lowest at 12:22 pm and will be at a minus 2.6 today/ Sunday.
When the tide is this low you can hike the beach from Edmonds to Shoreline.
More of a walk than a hike.

When the tide is this low you can hike the beach from Edmonds to Shoreline.
More of a walk than a hike.
The walk starts at the Edmonds off-leash dog park.
Head south along the waterfront and gaze upon the beauty of the Northwest.
Actually, you may need to avert you eyes from the nudie beach,
some people should just be covered, but that is another issue.
Stick to the waterline and you should be fine.
It is a great walk along the water.
It is a great walk along the water.
You feel like you are in the middle of nowhere….
Round trip is only about 3-4 miles.
All great walks start with a great meal.
We will be stopping by at Anthony’s Homeport for a bowl of chowder or something yummy
before taking the dawg for a walk.
Hope to see some of you on the trail.
Meet up place and time.
11:30 am at Anthony’s Homeport in Edmonds.

Sunday Hike
This was our info / invite!
Highly Recommended!
Zora & "Pappa" on the Skagit Hike!
Hey Y’all,
Is anyone else is interested in a low key hike in the Skagit delta?
11:00 am late breakfast near the Skagit River followed by a 2 hour or so hike thru the delta.
Of course start with great food… Meet up place is http://www.rexvillegrocery.com/ All kinds of oyster and eggs dishes. Awesome food and sarcastic waitresses.
Short distance from the store is the trailhead:
Drive south and you will see a giant yellow sign that says “Blakes Rv” http://www.blakesrvpark.com/ Go there. Except instead of turning into the RV park follow the road until it ends.
You will be at the river delta. A bit of Washington most people have never seen. There are currently 10s of thousands of snow geese in the Skagit valley. They will be off soon to the Arctic and will be leaving in flocks that will literally cover the sky. They leave between now and Mid-April. Might get lucky and see some flocks take flight.
Most of the hike is on level ground. But it does get muddy when getting closer to the shore. Plan appropriately – you will get muddy. (It is suck the shoe off your foot muddy… Wear boots.).
Drive time: From my house in Shoreline to the store is about 80-85 minutes to get to rexville grocery.
...
PS.
It is dog heaven out there and legal for them to run off leash. Take your dog.
PSS
The end of street parking is technically WDFW land. If you don’t have a current fishing license, you ain’t legal to park there. Enforcement is unlikely, but FYI.
